The School Council’s Inspiring Efforts for the Poppy Appeal

This year, our School Council demonstrated incredible dedication and compassion by leading our school’s Poppy Appeal campaign. Over the past two weeks, these committed students selflessly gave up their playtimes to sell poppies and other commemorative items on behalf of The Royal British Legion, fostering a spirit of remembrance and gratitude across our school community.

Through their efforts, the School Council encouraged meaningful conversations about the significance of the Poppy Appeal, reminding everyone of the sacrifices made by our soldiers. Their leadership has not only helped to raise vital funds for this worthy cause but also created an opportunity for students and staff alike to reflect on the importance of unity and remembrance.

We are incredibly proud of our School Council for their tireless work and of the entire school community for embracing the spirit of giving. Together, we continue to honour the past while building a compassionate and united future.

Here are our School Council representatives for this school year!

So far they have arranged a 'Hello Yellow' day and raised £381.03 for the mental health charity 'Young Minds', as well as selling poppies for Remembrance Day on behalf of the Royal British Legion.

They have many plans for the year and are keen to improve our environment by organising litter picks and planting around the school grounds.
